Mediapac portable hard drives are ruggedized enclosures for Hitachi hard disks. These are quicly becoming he industry standard for large volume multimedia storage applications. They can also easily adopt any other storage technology that may be developed in the near future including solid-state memory chips.
The Mediapac offers easy offloading for recording video to a desktop NLE or NAS (network attached storage) device. It occupies the space of a standard floppy drive enclosure and is offered with USB, Firewire, SCSI, or SATA interfaces.
Mediapac cartridges can be used in the Z-DR1 with the same portable convenience as traditional videotape.
